Its nice of Danny to help out Matt when nobody else will, finally we're given some idea of his character. He's basically the nice guy of the group. (or gay)

I think Matt made a verbal slip with his speech. I think they are just good friends most likely made stronger by the fact that the other assholes in the house can't get past their own egos long enough to give Matt any respect.

1. He is just a nice guy and is not in love with Matt.
2. There is no such thing as a "nice" guy. All "nice" guys end up coming out of the closet sooner or later.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with being gay. Matt is secure enough that he'll let a gay guy serve him food in bed. If Danny were to try something Matt could just "Slam" him and "bang" it out with him a bit.
