I really doubt it. If he beat him any other way people would not criticize Nelson. They would make excuses like Kimbo had no ground game, etc, but no one would fault Nelson for going for the W. He opened himself up for criticism by the extremely unimpressive way he won. The fact that he wasn't doing enough damage such that Herb Dean saw fit to let him go at it for a full minute in the first round without stopping it, emphasizes just how lackluster the whole thing was. Had he won decisively, by sub, which I'm sure he could have since he put Kimbo into the crucifix twice, then he would have looked a lot better.
