Doggoneit who the heck? ...

... is on the front page voting that this season is the best ever? That is the LEADING option. I repeat: the LEADING option.

The last three fights this season have been the worst in the history of the show. After last night's second fight, when they immediately cut to Dana and he goes, "These two guys went to war," I threw my remote at the wall in disgust, breaking it.

I can't believe that fighters of this caliber are getting national exposure while real, experienced fighters who have enough sense not to make jackasses out of themselves on national television languish in smaller shows.

This shit needs to end. I'm not watching that show anymore. I see better fights in sparring matches at my gym.

If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Dana was 100% correct that those two guys went to war. It wasn't a very technical fight, but neither was Frye-Takayama and everyone seemed to enjoy that fight. People loved that glorified hockey fight because both guys displayed tons of heart and aggression. The same holds true for last night's fight.

Wasn't very technical? Wasn't very technical?!? It looked like neither guy had ever seen a fight, let alone been in one.

It was every bit as technical as Takayama-Frye.

That poll is misleading. The question is "are you watching this season"? and one of the options is both "yes" and "it's the best ever". How about just plain old "yes". It's certainly not the best season ever and I agree that the fighters this year just look pretty lacklustre, especially with their technique in the stand-up.

In that hour of national television, rather than show the personal histrionics and subpar performances of four unskilled fighters, Spike could have chosen to show

Sakurai vs. Baron
Tamura vs. Sato
and Nakakura vs. Tentsuku

from last weekend's Shooto card.

If, as an MMA fan, you're not outraged by that, the fault is with you, not me.
