I knew Zachrich was going to lose when they said he fought out of team Gurgel.

This Was an action filled fight, but two things were really conspicuous by their absence: Kicks, and Jiu Jitsu.

Both those guys were so gassed that by the second round, each was hanging his arm out Begging to have it taken ... And yet, nobody complied.. How bout when Cramer had the other guy's back, and refused to do anything but try and reach around and tap the guy lightly on the chin from his back.. Thats pitiful for guys at this level .. He didnt even attempt to get a choke in there. Its like All cramer thinks of doing is punching and clinching. .He could have ended this match way earlier by just trying either of these two techniques. If a guy is hanging out his arms, or is willingly giving you his back, to totally avoid the offers as if you have something better to do is not very smart, and shows a very low level of mma competence. To see guys blasting away with wild punches using no boxing technique, and not even attempting to throw a kick or a submission, despite them being wide open for both I dont think even belongs on this show. .If guys cant show a basic level of competence in Kicking, Punching, and grappling, I dont think they should be on the show.

It was good while it lasted, but I hate watching two gassed guys fight. That's what HWs are for.

Cramer is tough. Hell, so is Zachrich. They're both young in the game so they still have time to improve. Just not in the UFC. Dana will probably give them each a fight, though, since he LOVED the fight.

Did you think Matt Brown was going to lose?

Uh, Dante laid down for three rounds, Cramer was protecting himself in a bad position for the last 10 seconds before the bell. There are 900 seconds in a 15 minute fight, and 600 in a ten minute fight. Since Cramer actually FINISHED his fight, thus not taking the full allotment of time, Cramer spent less than 1% of his alloted fight time laying down and doing nothing. Dante spent three rounds eating strikes, and laying on top of his opponent, doing almost zero gnp, and two sub attempts, from what I remember. About 700 of the 900 seconds of Dante's fight were spent with Dante either holding sene against the cage and eating strikes, or holding him on the ground and eating strikes, while doing zero damage in return.

I don't think Dante sucks, mind you, but I do think he took full advantage of a judging system that is out of touch with what the UFC leadership, and the fans, would prefer. The ufc is not a wrestling and grappling tournament, but the current rule sets allow exactly that to happen, because it awards too many points for controlling a fighter, who isn't allowed to use real counters to grappling, like point first elbows. Grapplers are working with a tool set that isn't limited by the rules, which gives them an innate advantage. Since point first elbows are justifiably dangerous, they need to change the rules to make the refs stand up fighters who repeatedly do nothing but change positions on the ground, without ever working for a finish.

I was hoping it would look like the 15th round of one of those epic Heavyweight Boxing matches from years ago, but by the end of the first these two characters were gone. Luke had Dan's back and couldn't do a damn thing.

The break did nothing to get them their adrenaline back. These two clowns are going nowhere fast.

Oh, aren't we just sooo superior.

And what are your MMA credentials by the way??? Yeah, I thought so.

That's the way fighters should fight.

They went out and gave it all they had.

Great fight!

Following the Gurgel mantra of underperforming and disappointing the handful of fans cheering for him.

They did go all out and gave it everything they had, but I didn't think it was a great fight. Again, that's because I don't like watching gassed fights (especially after only one round). But they made a good impression and that's more than the last two guys could say (from last week, not the Matt Brown fight).

That's the way they should fight for a full fight. These guys started off quick and looked energized for the first 30 seconds....too bad they didnt have enough gas to get off their own block let alone take it all the way to the finish.
