C.B. Dollaway's TUF 7 blog episode 7

Here's the link. C.B. writes a great blog, but I found this one to be a bit biased. Rampage and Forrest don't determine whether or not a fight goes to the 3rd round...the judges do. This blog comes across a little sour grapes, imo.

I'll give CB a pass on the subpar effort this week, considering the brilliance of last week's "Jeremy Jitsu" and "sandwich shop guillotine" blog.

Nobody can deliver that level of awesome every week.

I dunno, man. This:

The fact is the one time in Cale's life he needed a friend's help was at the tattoo parlor. I swear he must have gone into the tattoo parlor with $2 and a don't-take-no-for-an-answer attitude.
Has some serious 'lulz' in it.

CB sounds like an ass, and anybody who says its funny what shultz said to forrest is an idiot.

He spent a month in the house and didn't learn that the judges have final say on fight outcomes that are not stopped by the ref?

You tend to forget that stuff when you are in the heat of the moment and emotions are running high.

Case in point ... from Forrest's TUF blog
Between Rounds

Quote:
After they announced that there was a decision at the end of round two and Quinton got upset and I said across the Octagon to him that Cale could go another round it was just that I’m a competitive person. That’s in my nature.

After I had already said it, it occurred to me that I was indulging my own ego at the expense of someone else’s ass. It happened pretty fast but looking back it was obvious that there would be no way the judges would actually change their decision but at the time I actually started thinking that they might.

I think he's a bit drunk about Shultz getting a 10-8 first round, though considering Cale took him down for the last 90 seconds and controlled him. That's worth at least getting to a 10-9. 10-8 means you weren't in the fight.

He's not writing this right after the fight. Heck he didn't even see the fight live. It's been months and he had more than enough time to cool off.

Seriously weak, if it's a 10-8 first Shultz its a 10-8 Cale second. Let's not kid ourselves either, that fight goes to the 3rd, is there any question at all that Cale takes it? Score that fight 19-18 for Cale. 10-9 Shultz 10-8 Cale, sorry CB, getting takendown and getting punched from the top to end round one definetly erases a 10-8 first.

So he was less then impressed with the Amir Vs Gerald fight? Why? Oh it's because his guy lost. I jumped off my couch at 4:00am when Amir hit that knee and gerald hit the deck. Amir never stopped working, and was in an almost full split at one point. It would have been easy for that guy to quit, but he never did. Seriously awesome fight.
