Anyone Very happy with Amir's Knee??

I was very happy when Amir connected with that knee!!!

Harris impressive with his slams does not seem at all like an exciting fighter.
He wanted Zero part of the stand up and basically held Amir Down for 5 minutes.

I wish knees like those connect to many other fighters....

Harris was doing exactly what Dana was bitching about during that 1 prelim fight.

Harris's slams were pretty exciting. He needs to refine his ground and pound, but I think he has a lot of potential.

I had no clue what Harris was doing. It seemed that all he wanted to do was slam Amir. Amir had the most ridiculous sprawl at one point where he was almost in a complete split, instead of Harris letting go of his legs and throwing some punches at a guy who was obviously not in a postion to defend himself, he continued to hold and hold and hold. I was to disappointed with him.

How was Harris fighting a boring fight? Those slams were awesome and he had some good G+P which Amir said hurt him a few times. It was a good KO but i thought Harris would make the final.

I was VERY happy. UFC rules are tailor made for this kind of fighter and it is an unfair advantage.

To see some of them receive knees standing (when they are safe from them on the ground) is a big HELL YEAH! To strikers.

It's not UFC rules. At the moment I believe they are called the unified rules of mma

I thought both fighters did pretty well. Amir stayed composed, got his opening, and took advantage.

The wrestler (Harris or Harrold, I forget?) had some nice slams and tried to stay busy with GnP. He too seemed to me to be looking to finish the fight.

Harris did not impress me at all. He pretty much dove for Anirs legs without using any set up punched or kicks - that shit don't fly anymore in MMA. He would then just hold Amir down and his GnP was decent but Amir was collected and took it in stride. For Harris being a wrestler and Amir not having any grappling and being able to learn all those escapes is quite impressive for Amir but not so for Harris. It just proves Harris still has some grappling to be learned.

Good coaching on Forrests part too - he knew the perfect formula for Amir to win and taught him a few scrambles to make Amir effective.
