Maybe on the ground, but he's an excellent striker. Those teeps (front push kicks) are awesome.

I was going more for the mullet.

Yeah though, he can't hold Torres' jock on the ground. And Torres is an excellent striker as well. Haven't seen Amir against enough credible competition to fully judge his striking game.

They could have a mullet cut match. That would be awesome.

I'd say it was Big Nog like from that slick submission out of nowhere, late in a tough match. However, Amir was controlling the stand up portion of the fight. CB did not want to stand with him for long cause Amir was defnitely getting the better of him.

One thing to keep in mind is the fact that Amir has not had a professional MMA fight yet. Sure he had those 4 fights on the show but to the best of my knowledge, none of those fights actually count toward a fighter record. Hopefully Amir does not get 'big show jitters' during the finale. I mentioned this in another thread, but I think both fighters get contracts ala Forrest-Bonnar.

First time I've ever seen Amir fight, but I gotta' tell you, for having two minutes left in the fight with a HUGE gash under your eye, he was pretty cool under pressure.

That cut was surprisingly big when they cleaned it up.

Good thing he got the second close armbar, because he was down on points.

Nice humble guy, too. It was a good fight.
