this relates to tuf forum how again? it would probably be better to spend your effort on electing politicians that want to give lower class people more opportunities to attain american dream, so that we don't have situation where all the poor people are left behind in the flooded city because they don't have resources to relocate

social programs>private charity

Katrina was a great example of how blacks revert back to their more primitive mindset when faced with a catastrophe and all their modern luxuries are taken away. Stealing and killing, and bitching about the government not giving them enough money. Whitey just ain't helpin' a brotha out. Made New Orleans look like a typical day in Zimbabwe.

I can't even begin to imagine what the people there are going through, waking up 1 morning to a home and the smell of pancakes, then the next morning for some not even waking up.. it's rediculus... my thoughts and prayers are with all of them

I'm from New Orleans. . .you'd have to be stupid or ignorant to think that anyone made any "profit" off of what happened. I have a very lucrative career, and I took a big hit. The lower middle class and lower class were pushed into complete poverty by the storm in many cases.

It was nothing but suffering, misery, and stress in N.O. for 2 years following the storm. While much of the city is still in complete ruin, the mood of the people seems to be the most positive and optimistic it has been in a long time.

Thank you for thinking about us, and don't forget about New Orleans. . .the struggle is still ongoing.

Things like this shouldn't happen in America.

Think about that shit next time you vote. =)
