because not all of them are UFC newcomers:

Steve Byrnes (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC)

Im really anxious to see Simmler. His ground game is sick. Credeur is very good, he should get a lot of benefit from what the coaches bring to the table.

Because SpikeTV & the shows producers get to pick half the fighters and they always go for the guys who will spice things up outside of the cage.

IMO, the expansion to 32 fighters is Dana's way of getting rid of those guys early so that all 16 guys that make the house deserve to be there. The jokers & personalities will get their asses whooped in the preliminary round and never make it to the TUF house.
