How I envy it.

I wish Canada had it so their citizens could carry guns in public. Here is a story that I admire and believe it or not I have experienced similiar situations but could do nothing to stop the attack.

btw, if this sparks a debate, it would do you great service not to mention that guns should be permitted because they are so within the American constitution.

Well, I doubt much of a debate will ignite. From the short time I've been on this board it appears to me, that the regulars while they vary greatly from left to right are all pretty libertine, or politically anti-authoritarian.

we dont need guns, yeah you might be able to defend yourself VIA handgun, but dont forget that if guns become legal, that would also mean that the attacker could have easy access to them as well, making him or her more dangerous

Trust me, the few lives a gun MIGHT have saved in cases like this pales in comparison to the hundreds that would have died in accidental-gun related deaths.

I'm actually ok with people having guns... if its responsible people. So many guns in America get into the hands of the wrong people, and the NRA is against any law restricting guns. They are defending the criminals too, pretty fucking stupid. hoorah

people with tendencies for attacking others aren't the ones waiting around patiently for laws to permit them to carry.

define easy access? in my younger days, purchasing an illegal handgun was 2 phone calls away. (not that i ever did but the option was there)

As far as CCW laws go... I don't mind people carrying as long as there's some time of registration and background checks as well as prerequisite training standards.

1. I don't want anyone with a violent criminal record to carry a gun. Not that a criminal is going to comply with the laws anyway.

2. I believe there should be a training class. Too many accidental dischrages due to poor trigger discipline.

well you make it legal, then they can buy it just like you. Besides, if you give em to normal ppl, a small fight could turn fatal.
