When will stimulus opponents finally admit they were wrong?
Its patently clear that without the stimlus (both this governmetns and others) thing would have been much worse and that the stimulus along with other goverment actions (fed lowering interest rates, etc) we probably would have gone off a cliff.
Was it perfectly executed? Nope, but it surely made things far better then they would have been.

Part of their argument hinges upon employment numbers, which of course tend to lag the economy 6 to 12 months. More importantly, they lay their hat on the political rhetoric of job creation. The stimulus was more about sustaining job levels and preventing disinflation from turning into crushing deflation.

So we are already acting like the stimulus fixed everything? Going to skip straight over the controversy stage? I must have missed the newspaper this morning.

Wow the recession hasn't behaved identically to the great depression. Even though we share the exact same combination of problems, with a banking crisis, a trade war, and a dust bowl all happening together.

Hey guys I've got an idea. Lets pump a bunch of money into the economy so it doesn't look so bad right now. If you argue against it you're dumb. Nevermind who has to pay for it, and that it is mostly going to be wasted on rediculous projects.
It will make it look like we know what we are doing and that should fix things in the short term. What about the long run you ask? What about the inpact it has on people who have fixed income, and the inflation of the dollar? What about the fact that we can't even pay for it and we are spending the next generations money and putting them in debt before they are even born. Who cares ahhahaha.... We won't be in office then so it will be someone elses problem. Lets print that money and get paid while we can hahahaaha. People are so fucking stupid and so are you TS if you don't see all the negatives that go with this kind of bullshit legislation.

How does saying it helped = to saying it fixed everything.
I freely admited it was not perfect.
But China's stimlus pulled them out very quickly.

Speaking of China, what will become of the stimulus plan if they stop buying our debt?
