John Walters Bush's drug czar on cspan monday call in program.
John Walters Bush's drug czar will be on cspan Monday at 7:45 AM. He will take questions form callin people. The recent Amenment by Congress would have not let Fed money be used for survielence of medical MJ users was easily defeated. Here is more on Bush's drug policy and Walters http://www.whitehousedrugpolicy.gov/...06/062906.html . I hope some of you that are for legalization of hemp call in and ask him hard questions like why are 600,000+ Americans arrested every year for possesing a plant when this country should be worried about our borders and AQ. EDIT here is the link for the Amenment http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=68509 that was defeated.

i should call in and ask why our government is wasting billions of dollars "fighting a war" that can never possibly be won. and why, they feel it neccisary to maintain marijuana's illegality amid all the recent information of its medicinal use and lack of cancer causation, unlike cigarettes?

LOL but really if you ever heard this guy talk he thinks the hemp coming from Canada is going to destroy this country like crack did in the 80's (his words). He thinks it good that 750,000+ Americans go to jail every year for hemp. They still can't see that the whole war on drugs thing is hurting this country and giving money to criminals. Recently the mexican gangs are taking over the hemp trade which is a bad thing all around.

Last time someone called in while they were high the guy asked him for his address! You should call in. If I get an update on his schedule I will post it in this thread.

Thanks for the update. I think he got pushed back because of the middle east. I want to see this as well. I hope a Sherdogger calls in with a good question such as "during this time of war with AQ should we be arresting 600,000+ Americans for simply possesing a plant ?". Or ask him why we can't put some of the drug enforcement money into prosecuting and finding sex offenders.

That is a very good link b.goetz as they want these questions answered: "It took a constitutional amendment to outlaw alcohol and make prohibition a reality. It took another to re-legalize the alcohol. Where is the constitutional amendment for marijuana and other drugs that are prohibited?
Even during the alcohol prohibition era, doctors could make allowances for medicinal purposes. Why don’t these same allowances exist for medical marijuana or other pharmaceutical agents with clear medical benefits?
How does the DEA justify throwing the Bill of Rights into the garbage can and allowing for asset forfeiture, before one is ever tried and convicted before a jury of his peers?
Are states’ rights in the drug war not valid?
You claim to be simply enforcing and upholding the laws that have been passed, but aren’t you obligated to also question those laws yourself when you are able to witness firsthand that they are causing more problems than they solve?
Has the DEA caught any terrorists linked to Al Qaida using new powers granted under the Patriot Act? " End Quote. I too would like to see a Fed answer to those questions.

Well, I for one am glad that our President appointed a drug czar who seems to completely ignore all reason and legitimate research. Continued demonization of a relatively harmless substance is what this nation really needs. Why confuse the masses with education, facts and logic?
Think of the children people. Studies have shown that 64% of all marijuana users have murdered 3 or more babies with rusty chainsaws while intoxicated. This study also showed that marijuana causes a 349% increase in the chance that white daughters will have sex with black men.*
Thanks for putting America's children at risk, you drugged-up terrorist loving pinkos.
* Note: Study consisted of a poll of 8 white Republican housewives over the age of 40 whose husbands make over $1M in income per year. This study has never been peer reviewed but VP Dick Cheney remarked that "this sounds about right."
