what issues do you liberals and conservatives "cross the aisle" on?

for instance, i am kind of a centrist, but wind up supporting liberal candidates due mainly to the neo-con agenda that has run rampant in the republican party.

however, i do agree with republicans on guns and limited government control for individuals.

what about you people?

I'm a centrist also. I tend to lean democrat on social issues and republican on monetary/government issues.

I am a centrist, but I lean more right than left. I "cross the aisle" when it comes to universal health care.

And lobbying and excessive spending.

Also the nonenforcement of our immigration laws.

Republicans and Democrats in general agree on these, but the politicians don't - one of the flaws in our system and much of it relates back to lobbying (congress members spend so much time meeting with special interest groups and corporations)

Hardcore conservative that thinks that women should have the right to choose an abortion - but still am not a fan of abortions.

I go either way on the death penalty - I don't feel bad for a cold blooded killer who gets executed, especially when they demand it and admit guilt. At the same time, I don't think it helps curb the murder rate either.

Otherwise I am very allegiant to conservative policies, especially fiscal ones.

It's time to let go of the left-right construct and accept *at least* 4 orientations.

The Political Compass

Take the test. See where you stand.

It's good fun.
