J-I-GG-A is probably right. This will just strengthen that disgusting Stalinist regime all the while they cheat on their nuclear records. Retarded.

Bush has freed Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq and now North Korea?

The man is a messiah.

McCain will take care of the next Axis of Evil - Syria, Iran and Obama.

What's that? Showing off their nukes? Having the worst human right violations in Asia? Secluding themselves from everyone? Being a 'communist' state? Or hiding their nuke info as well...

To me its a joke. It's a way for Bush to flex his muscles to Iran in a way where he can show he still has power to make drastic changes and if you obey his laws, he'll give you a treat.

Worst yet "showing off their Nukes to China" who we all know is like "lol *thumbs up* No problem guys".

The Communist North Korean regime is one of the worst on earth. There is no way they should be relaxing sanctions over this move.

I'm scratching my head in light of their recent involvement in Syria (resulting in Israel bombing Syria - from what we know, a story that hasn't been reported on all that much). Syria was/is going to let the IAEA in to see what was bombed, perhaps Israel was wrong?

Jigga, Iran is trying the same bait and switch tactic that NK used. Sanctions are the peaceful approach (remember) and Iran has done nothing to date that would cause us to lighten sanctions.

Many of their neighbors want nukes if Iran gets them - not a stable enough part of the world to have a nuclear arms race. Plus, our state department classifies them as a state sponsor of terror and our military says they are fighting us by proxy in Iraq. The move going forward will be to increase sanctions.

No i understand that part, but lifting sanctions on a communist state? what about cuba...?
wasn't that what the whole cold war was about? fear of communism? the afghani and russian war, fear of communism spreading...

doesn't make sense to me

No American I know of supports sanctions against Cuba. Wish we would get over it already; it's stupid

I think it is done solely to pander to Cuban Americans, many of whom left possessions and businesses behind when they fled to the US.

(Their importance is also significant, since they have a feature that no other immigrant group has - if they hit our soil, they can stay)

The communist thing is out the window - everything is made in China and Vietnam is a big trade partner of ours now (since 1994); the heart of that war happened after our most famous Cuban conflicts
