I'm not trying to justify anything, I'm just saying depression and crazy chemical imbalances are going to happen frequently in new mothers. If you mix this with other factors of mental retardation, existing bipolar, social pressures, drugs etc... it is fair for us to speculate that there maybe (in our unprofessional analysis) a cocktail of psychosocial evil bound to produce some loony outcomes once in a while.
