The tell me a secret thread got me thinking back on some real assholes I have seen at restaurants be it the douchebags that tip $1 for a $50 bill or the dicks that pull dine and dashes. Just wondering what the worst is that you have seen?

Worst one I have seen recently would be this group of 3 guys at the local sports bar. They went in and ran up a $150 bill with wings and beer and then ran out on it. The waitress who is like the nicest person in the place and pretty smoking hot was devistated because that is a good chunk of change that had to come out of her pocket to cover for the bill.

Needless to say we went looking for the assholes and had plans on making them pay up for the meal and the distress they caused but they were nowhere to be found. I felt really bad for the girl because she was clearly over worked and never stood a chance at stopping them before they left. Worst of all, they wrote "Thanks for everything" on the bill for her, little shits.

servers always pay for bills that get run out on. its their job to make sure people pay. at least thats how it foes around here. is it not like that in Van?

She had to pay for a dine and dash? Never heard of that before. Worse thing I ever seen were idiot drunks grabbing waitresses asses. One time some one unscrewed salt shakers at a steak house I go to and it fucked up my stepfathers dinner. I lol'd.

Ive seen that once or twice, but worst is I hate the rudeness people have to servers, or people in the service industry in general. I have so many both from working myself and hearing what other diners have said the waiters, the single worst would probably have been the yuppie at the table next to me who said, "listen, kid, you serve me because Im somebody and you're a waiter, I don't need any back chat, Ill talk to you however I want." He said this as the waiter had asked the guy not to be rude to him. I don't care what the repercussions would have been, Im a mild mannered guy and can control myself in most scenarios, but if I had been that waiter that guy would have paid for saying that to me in one way or another.

I saw one service worker have enough and lash out. One woman in a starbucks went crazy at the server as she asked for a special order and they got it wrong, and she slammed it down and called the server something I cant even type its so bad, and he just picked it up and flung the contents over her and walked out. Someone in front of me beat me to it and said "serves you right you f-ing bitch". I wouldn't have been so blunt but he said what I was thinking. I think he did it cos it was a frappe and wouldn't burn her.

Yeah, waiting tables is a tough job. I was a dishwasher in highschool, and the servers were always stressed to the max.

only in canada... a 110 pound girl shouldn't have to enforce some hoodlums pay for their tab. wtf is this?

I'll have to use that line someday, lol.

And the second story, a hot coffee would have been better.
