Alternatively, someone could look at the same data and just as subjectively come to the conclusion that democrats are undernourished and image-obsessed.

In reality the data probably shows cost of living vs. cost of food in the states. In the states with higher obesity it's probably much easier to obtain large amounts of food for less cost, or a lower cost of living permits eating out more.

Also, the map isn't representative since it uses BMI, a deeply flawed measurement of obesity. If it used BF% it might be onto something.

If you want the God's honest truth about Southern stats like Highschool education and such here it is.

The South has a much higher percentage of blacks than than say lily white Vermont. That is backed up by the California results in education where they have many Hispanics that are first generation. If you are trying to say that Republicans and fat and stupid, it is actually the Democratic base that is causing the stats in those states.

I am just point out stats here people. Not being racist in the least

Interesting, but, BMI is the worst way to measure bodyfat. Sean Sherk would be considered obese by BMI.

Except you are when you try to "excuse" the stats based on black americans rather than saying something productive about why this is, and what should be done about it. Blame it all on the minorities, that's the only problem folk.

Further, a state like Texas has 11% blacks to PA's 10% yet the #s for the charts are vastly different.
