Smiley faces are pretty common graffiti. I'm not saying there is no link, but that is awfully vague. Thats like saying it was the "insert name wuz here" gang. Maybe it's vague on purpose.

And how would they know this is a gang? Either they have a bunch of info and obviously don't want to release because of an investigation, or they need to make it a gang to make the pieces fit together, which leaves us at believe it if you want.

The fact that they linked 40 out of 89 together means that there are 49 UNRELATED cases of drunk drowning and people still say "oh, you think people just get drunk and drown"? Apparently yes and apparently more often then they are serial murdered.

Yup, watched it on the news...most telling is one of the victims, the only one who has been upgraded to a homicide from an accident (I believe), was running from people scared (saying this on the phone).

Cops can't solve crimes without witnesses / informants, so, no wonder they ruled it an accident, and no wonder the family has been dumping money into investigating this.

So these guys met in a chat room and decided to meet up and start killing college kids around the midwest? Were they nerds that got rejected from frat parties and bullied by athletes and so now theyre getting their revenge.

Unfortunately these kinds of thinks happen all the time. Kids that arnt used to drinking dont know when to quit and put themselves in danger. We had a freshman last year that went missing, everyone thought it was foul play, it turned out that he got too drunk and wondered off in a maintenance closet and got electrocuted to death.

MN is the state of 10,000 lakes, and the midwest has more lakes than other areas. This is bound to happen. There was a crime investigation show on a while back, i think on the court channel, where a college student downed and they showed statistics that this happened a lot more often in the mid west. Im sure these guys wouldnt have been around when they made these statistics.

I just watched the CNN video and not only the smilely face graffit but also the word Sinsiniwah written near the body at one drowning scene 450 miles away from another drowning that happened at Sinsinawah Avenue is too much of a coincidense to not merrit intense investigation. Someone posted about a frantic cell phone call of a man being chased before being found drowned under similar circumstances. Maybe not all the drownings are related, but with clues like that, they need to be investigated as if they were.
