1/4 homeless people is a Veteran - how can you be in power for all these years and nothing to improve this.

Most veterans spend over half their monthly income on living expenses and are on the edge of poverty.

This is a disgrace

- Just knowing this makes me very sad about the people in power and the influence they have.

Thinking of all those service men coming home and how many of them will be soon homeless just doesn't sit well with me at all. With such power and influence John McCain really is not president material.

You know he wanted to run with John McCain against Bush last election?

We don't have great options this year, but more of the same John McCain is not what america needs

There are plenty of resources available for homeless vets. You can't make people accept assistance. Most homeless people, including vets, are homeless b/c of addiction or mental illnes. Unless they ask for help, there is nothing to do.

Im lost how you can put all the blame on McCain for the number of homeless vets. It truly is a travisty how funding for vets in this country gets cut down and how mentaly unstable vets coming back from wars get pushed out but its not the fault of just one man.

I agree, most people that are homeless want to be. The system sucks cock. Having to have a SS#, be entered into an oppressive tax system, have to have a passport to travel the earth, a drivers license, car insurance, etc... etc.. etc...

A cardboard box is rather inviting if you ask me.
