Everyone who isn't an idiot knows the Vietnam war was a mess, and it destroyed a country, 50,000+ American lives, and America was divided for a decade. It was a waste of lives, resources and American credibility,....AND WE LOST!!! Every president since then agrees that Vietnam was a national catastrophe, Republicans and Democrats alike.
Do you deny that Vietnam was a disaster on all levels?
But wait, I'm sure people on an MMA forum know better....

Oh , I don't know, but I am guessing that maybe that this wouldn't have happened, and hundreds of thousands of people might still be alive today?

Great job bringing up My Lai, is that the standard counter to the war?
You do know that it was stopped by an Amercian soldier?

It was not stopped by an American soldier, and that is why you see so many dead babies and women. A photographer exposed the My Lai incident, and I suspect that there were many more My Lais that we don't know about. The photographer just happened to have his personal camera, and sent the pics to the national media.
