I'll just refer to my original position: supply and demand ergo the military is overpaid where there is more recruits than jobs and underpaid where its the opposite. Everything else, like required education, is not relevant.

Thanks from one "old" guy to another

Of any overpaid arguments, yours is actually valid because people working the supply room or in the kitchen don't have shit flying around their ears among other things that could be pointed out.

and agreed, of course, having bullets fly by your head does add another very subjective aspect as to why someone with less education might deserve greater pay

am currently finishing my masters degree at a tier one school...


So, I have "cut it" in both "worlds" per se; and I am certainly not the best of them....

I've known guys that have more brains and braun than most people can fathom, and I know them from the military.
