Hypothetically, what kind of signing bonus would a guy with a law degree get if he enlisted? Say he's in good shape and took the ASVAB before and hit a 96.
I'm just screwing around. It's too bad military JAG don't get 100K though.

honestly you'd have to talk to a recruiter, a lot of the bonuses that are offered are for understaffed jobs, not sure where they stand on Jag slots. wish they had a signing bonus when I enlisted :p

I'm pretty sure sign up bonuses are limited to $14k. I think professional positions like doctors earn extra compensation each year in addition to their regular pay.

I find it funny taht people talk about the less fortunate trying to join, or NON college grades joining like they are shit or something. I enlisted to pay for college. BUT my father could have easly coughed up around $15,000 a year for school for me without neglecting his other bills, obligations. BUt I choose to pay my own way. And serve my country. win/win FOR ME. So I'm confused how Thats a negative thind, yet half the ***s that talk about this issue have no proble,m going to school on mom and dads dime, not caring aout how the parents will re-pay the loan and how this may delay their eventual retirement.

I believe there's a DOD program that helps wives get jobs when you get restationed. I remember reading something about it in the Army times. I'm not married so i didn't pay enough attention to remember the program name or details.

That's the society that we live in today.
Kids feel they are entitled to everything and don't really care to work for it.
It used to be something to be embarrassed about to mooch off you folks but now kids seem to take pride in it.
