Be sure that YEARS ago not just the nuclear sites, but ALL relevant military and government sites were targeted and that those plans are kept updated. Iran's military and government have been targted since the Reagan administration took over in 1980.

sure we have the upper hand. the reason to war with iran, which we can contain them and blockade them until they are poor and broken and never a threat again. we never need to invade. any attempt by them to move divisions to their borders to attack us will let the world finally see how a division on the move can be wiped out by air power alone.

releasing the strategic oil reserves will maintain us here in America. we have them, might as well use the reserves one time finally.

It's pretty clear that rational thought isn't something guiding US foreign policy at this time. The one factor predicting US military intervention is whether the target is opposing US hegemony. It doesn't matter how corrupt or oppressive a regime is as long as it obeys US doctrine. And Iran is definitely getting out of line so expect a war soon. It needn't make any sense, someone will find a reason and push. Hillary saying any attack by Iran on anyone would warrant retaliation, McCain saying Iran is supporting Al Qaeda, there are just too many powerful influences wanting this war for it not to happen.
