Partician Iraq?

Why not have a seperate country for the shiites, kurds, and sunni's.

Would this help or aggrevate the situation in Iraq?

Of course they would mostly likely immediately attack each other like the balkans, but with a 3rd party peacekeeping force, would they eventually settle down and accept the borders?

splitting between the shiites and the sunnis might work, but turkey will never ever accept kurdish independence. they'd go in firebombing, which wouldn't help the region at all

We'd split them up, then they'd just go to war with each other.

Pakistan/India. Israel/Palestine.

Good examples why not to partition.

No matter what happens the Shiites and the Sunnis are going to war in Iraq. If you split the country up one side will not be happy about some piece of land and they'll war. If you keep them together you'll have civil war.

There is no good outlook for Iraq. The place is going to go to hell in a hand basket no matter what we do.

BTW, I'd just like to thank GW and the Neo-Cons. I hope they all die soon.
