I wouldn't doubt it. Along with Sharpton and Jackson. These guys may have been helpful in the 60s but now they're just setting their entire community back 40+ years.

Great idea, we may be producing blackholes using our particle accelerators..

There should be but I don't know

I know that the bacteria are being tested at a brewery that I saw on discovery. I agree that they do look promising for limitting emissions from coal power plants. I think these things are important for developing countries like China who don't give two shits about the environment.

Important for everyone, theoretically the algae and bacteria can at least prevent global warming but they could also turn out to provide a "secondary" fuel source.

I agree, taking something bad and producing something good is never a bad thing. If we can phase out the need for plants that have CO2 emissions that would be the best case scenario. Being realistic and knowing that change takes time, these bacteria could help to avert a major crisis.

The biggest battle in my eyes is stopping people from taking the wrong path. Ethanol is insane and is purely driven by politics and propaganda. I quote a sherdog poster when I say a "windmill on every rooftop". The issue is changing the perception. In my neighbourhood windmills are illegal to have because they are eye-sores. If windmills were legal and a mass produced item, we could cut energy consumption substantially.

I agree that perhaps the biggest problem isn't technology but getting the mass of humanity to change direction and go the "right" way.

The good thing is it will happen eventually, the bad news is it will probably take a damn long time

Those subsidy amounts are really disturbing...

Also, why does nobody talk about tidal power? Is it because people are afraid for fishys or what? I think it is an excellent source of energy.
