I think it may be a bit easier to know how many states are in the union than the differnce between sunni and shiia muslims.

I'm not a McCain supporter (I won't be voting D or R), but the apologizing for Obama has to stop.

It was obvious to me he wasn't joking; he wasn't even smiling when he said it. It was a mistake, but so was McCain's gaffe, so why not just admit it?

Ultimately what does it matter if Obama actually believes there are 57 states? I can't think of anything.
What happens if McCain actually can't tell the difference between the two sects? More US soldiers die.

Clearly we have acquired some extra land for the US, accounting for over a half a dozen new states. This is the only explanation...after all, Obama is so brilliant and so well spoken that this can't be a mistake. I'm packing my bags for a trip to some of our new states for the memorial weekend.
