Senator Barack Obama asked his leading fund-raisers in a conference call today to lend a hand to retire the campaign debt of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

This week has been designated as the coming together for Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton. As a prelude to their first appearance on Thursday evening in Washington, Mr. Obama asked his donors to begin pitching in to whittle away at Mrs. Clinton’s debt.

Obama fans are now paying for Hillary's extended campaign that she had no chance of winning. Half the debt is money she loaned herself out of the Clinton private fortune.

I assume Obama's supporters are smart enough not to get upset about him asking for donations for Hillary because frankly, you dont have to actually oblige. This is all part of the game.

He didn't ask the general public of donors. This was a conference call to his top tier fund raisers.
