How does that qualify as a good thing? Furthermore, why is it automatically the US' responsibility to beat the tar out of these idiots? Kim having nukes is just as big a threat, if not more, to other nations. I'll qualify that statement by saying I definitely would like to drop an MOAB on his ass, but come on. Fortunately for us, Korea can't even seem to be able to master a decent ICBM system (or a non-human streetlight), much less a nuclear weapon. Hopefully this is just more posturing. They're probably getting desperate for aid.

We don't have the 'responsibility' to do anything. But the simple deterent factor is gone - because everyone knows we are strung out in Afghanistan and Iraq. We couldn't do anything more than airstrikes right now. And they know it.

Anyone who has a problem with the US bombing the living shit out of N. Korea for developing nuclear weaponry is an idiot. This isn't some grey area like Iran where they are stuck in the crossfire and may or may not be helping the enemy. N. Korea is hands down one of the most absolutely fucking crazy nations on this Earth and are probably one of the absolute last nations I'd trust with the most devastating weapon ever made.
