New Reality Show-Kidney Donation

I can't wait till the U.S. picks this up and I get to see three families and their freinds begging one person for a kidney to save their loves ones life. That's good television right there. But I guess if Mickey Mantle can move to the top of the line to get a liver.....these people should be able to try for a kidney.

CBS/AP) A 37-year-old woman suffering from an inoperable brain tumor wants to donate a kidney before she dies and will choose the recipient from among three contestants on Dutch national television, a TV network said Tuesday, claiming it wants to highlight a crisis in organ donations.

The network identified the donor only as "Lisa" and gave no other information about her. During the show, she will hear interviews with the three candidates, their families and friends before choosing who will get her kidney.

Viewers will be able to vote for a candidate via SMS text message, but the final determination will be Lisa's, BNN said

I like it.

I've always disliked the way the organ donor system works. It SHOULD go to those who deserve it the most. It's sad, but true.

A career criminal and solid, hard working individual should not have to get in the same line for an organ.
