The candian government gives cash back credits to people who buy hybrids....but to 4000...that takes the extra cost out of buying one and makes them comparable to similar cars with similar options that arent hybrids...

Mode Rogue, why are you pretending that Obama hasn't had his proposals to commit over 100 billion dollars to alternative energy research and implementation for months now?

McCain is a bit late on the bandwagon and, if anything, this proposal of his only highlights that he wasn't putting much, if any, thought into it before he realized that independent voters and moderate democrats like progressive policies more than they like a continuation of the failed republican policies.


I'm not really in a mood to vote for either of the two main douchebags in this election, but to sit here and pretend that McCain has shown any history of understanding how important energy independence is to this country, is to be extremely dishonest with yourself.
