Maybe have a class based on "Major Religions of the World"
In it, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, and some others, will all be taught...including their main sects.....
The general history, along with the general doctrine. That would be a good idea. It's either all, or none, in my opinion.

christianity is well taught and well known and widely practiced in america already.
the buddhists have no conflict and is of little consequence to anybody.
islam affects the entire world and the west is ignorant about it.
hence = learning about christianity is like learning how to tie your shoelace (you already do know how), learning about buddhism is like learning how to bake a cupcake (you don't really have to) and learning about islam is, if for nothing else, learning about your enemy (which is always important.)
knowing thy opponent is the way of the samurai , dumbass
studying other religions is good too.
but you got to prioritize samurai, prioritize.... each religion has over a thousand years of history, can't cram them all into one semester...
