The flood was obviously an inside job designed to trick Iowans into giving up their rights.

Its been declared a disaster area, so authorities take extra measures to keep things orderly. Thats the way it has always been done, I dont think its a big deal. It seems like people are looking for any reason to cry conspiracy. Flame away.

No actually, it's called taking people's rights away. Just like in hurricane katrina, Imagine if oil prices went to 300$ a barrel. It would be chaos everywhere.

It's basically the same everywhere. When a disaster strikes, you must comply with authorities or face the use of force. Looters are shot first and questioned later.

It's a temporary reminder of where the state of nature gets us.

It's called martial law, Look it up..

And this has a very good possibility of happening in the event of a "2nd 9/11 COUGH" or a national emergency. Which could mean anything..If oil prices went to 300$ a barrel when we attack iran, I could see that qualifying at a national emergency. In which it would give the president power to do what ever he wants essentially without congressional approval. The bills were signed to "prevent terror".

Like I said, martial law, whether officially declared or not, has been put into effect during or after almost every major disaster, because it works. The frisco quake, the Chicago fire, the riots in LA, and Katrina all had some degree of military authority.

just be open to the fact that In the event of martial law, constitutional and civil rights do not apply. This is why in iowa, They aren't respecting any of our rights. If this happens seriously, and the US goes into martial law..Do you really want to know what the military is going to do when they are basically told that they don't have to worry about the constitution and civil rights in order to "stop what is happening" . Look at how bad new orleans was during hurricane katrina and imagine all of america being like that..It's a scary thought.
