Scientific evidence just proves my point. LSD, DMT, ecstasy and other psychoactive drugs are comparatively harmless to the public image they garner. Through punctilious research you should realize they don't put holes in your brain or have any real long term side effects. The drugs you fear are only cadaverous in appearance because you fucks don't put any effort to actually read the studies.
I don't condone marijuana use, nor do I think we should castigate any users. I really don't give a fuck. Just make it fair to the other users.

Why does everyone think that taxing it would end the illegal trade? People would still grow and sell there own, they'd just make less money doing it.
The biggest problem is that if it were legalized, could you imagine the how many people would be driving or working high?

Possession of marijuana and smoking marijuana in public has basically been decriminalized in my state already, and I do believe I voted for that.

I think a more relevant poll is who has kids that would still be in favor of legalization. Most of my friends that now have kids who did smoke, did a 180 after having them. Sort of a kneejerk reaction to be a protective parent i guess. I don't have any so I can't relate. And lets be honest, most WRers are young single males, hence why the poll will be so skewed in favor of legalization.

Ummm, what proof is there for this?
If you were that addicted to weed, wouldn't you drive or go to work high while it is still illegal?

Ah, ok. I thought from the quotation marks you put around the word harmless that you were implying marijuana was not (relatively) harmless and that its legalization would result in a domino effect leading to the legalization of other "harmful" drugs.
My bad.
I find myself in agreement with your response, which clarified things for me.

No problem. I deleted the quotation marks so there is no confusion. Sorry for getting gotten to (as they say in the OT).

All drugs should be decrimnimalized.
The War' on drugs has been a massive waste of tax dollars.
Legalize pot and regulate it and tax it.
