I believe it was Winston Churchill who said something to the effect that "If when you are young and have a heart you are liberal; if when you are older and have a brain you are conservative."
Liberalism used to be a proud, noble, ideal that stood up for the working man and fought with blood to defend their rights. Nowadays it has degenerated into one of the worst forms of social fascism that this country has ever seen. These people, who out of one side of their mouths, blow smoke about freedom of speech will, out of the other side of their mouth, try to "shout down" anybody who espouses any philosophy that is different or contrary to theirs. I am embarassed for them. They have got to be the biggest hypocrites on the planet earth. The very right they have to engage in this fucked up behavior was paid for in blood by many generations past. My father, who was a democrat and fought in WWII, would listen to my debates with him during the hippie days. He wouldn't agree, of course, with anti-Viet Nam protests etc. but he would allow me my say and I his.
These kids should be spanked, have their mouths washed out with soap and sent to their rooms without dinner. Just wait 'til they are around 30, have a family to support and they look down at their meager paycheck and see significant portions of their hard earned money going to fund shit like entitlement programs and straight into the hands of the very people they think they are so righteously defending. They will be whistling Dixie in a different key, then.
