You are exibiting text book 'back pedaling' and diversion of the point.

Why don't you question my sexuality too and then ask me why i haven't made my point. Come on lets be serious, you keep 'explaining' things as if you are the spokesman for all Veterans.

Guess what you aren't. So please Stop talking like you are in some kind of position of authority, this is a discussion not your opprotunity to start name calling like a little school girl.

The point of the thread is that John McCain's assistance to Verterans is non-existant it is sad that he has nothing to show for any support given to veterans other than bs politics and words.

Please stay on topic, John McCain's efforts for Veterans? I mean **** he wanted to stay in Vietnam, what a brilliant guy.

It's on record that if we had bombed a couple days more they would have been forced to surrender. We should have stayed and finished the job.

That is government PR, just like we were forced to drop nuclear bombs on japan...mmm rigghtt...I bet we'll hear a similiar story about Iraq, they would have surrrendered had we stayed another 10 years.

Either way, I'm not impressed with John McCain as a "Veteran" I'd actually prefer if he didn't use his "Veteran" status as an edge because I don't think he's really done much for veterans...

he hardly ever brings up his veteran experiences. he could be freaking trumpeting that shit but he's not.

and his experience is pretty good. he was a naval pilot. was a pow forever. then was a naval ship captain. he's been in a look or tough positions and i trust that if things get tough, McCain is the best qualified to deal with those problems. and he's a political moderate.

Love him or hate him you should respect the hell out of him he spent 7 years in a Vietnamese prison camp. Regarding all the homeless vets I do not think most of the homeless are vets they put that on there sign so they can get more sympathy!

I feel terrible about the overall circumstances that military has to face. The government abuses them, the citizenry has no respect for them.

There are a lot of really bad ass non-profit organizations that are doing their patriotic part in helping those veterans (injured physically/mentally) get back on their feet, but not a enough.

Thank you... Mc Cain is a War president, that is really his only card. He will escalate the war on terror.

True, although, he made it to the final 2. Right now he is still in the race, and all others have dropped off expect for mc cain who has won the nomination. The debates are not fair, that's why certain candidates get asked more questions and have more talk time than others.
Ron Paul also received the most support from our troops than any other candidate.
