Impressive....you have managed to diagnose the cause of his mental illness from clear across the internet....and it is a mental illness according to psychiatric professionals. Now, I will admit that these professionals are not always correct in my judgement. For instance homosexuality is no longer considered to be a mental illness, whereas I think it clearly is. I wonder how much longer it will be before the fruitcake lobby gets the APA to get all PC on us again and pull this from the diagnostic manual as well. __________________

It is a disorder, in a scientific sense. But that's the way the kid is, and he should still be able to get dresses and enjoy life. He should be able to be happy and do what comes naturally to him.
Even if we develop a way to detect and reassign the complex chemical and neuropathology of gender identity, it would have to be prenatal or at least before the kid develops the cognitive ability to identify gender. Otherwise, you're looking at psychological trauma and guilt.
Let the little ladyboy grow into a ladyman.

The illness is not so much the gender abnormality of the child but more the stupid way the parents are trying to handle it.

Nine? I dunno. Not buying it hook, line and sinker. When the kid gets older and discovers pulling his peep, he may want to keep it. Then he's not transgendered; he's just that weird kid that was raised as a transvestite. And that ain't right.
