The only people motivated to show up in the primaries now are protest voters.
If Ron paul runs on the LP ticket, I'll vote libertarian like I always have. If not, I will be sorely tempted to vote against either democrat and for the old maverick whose name I am loathe even to type....... I know, i know. I just think hill and Obama are worse than anything.

Less than half the registered republicans showed up to vote. That pretty much tells me that the ones that did show up were not Mcain supporters. The results in PA mean nothing.

McCain had 500,000 protest voters? What were they protesting?

45-50% IF that was number seems fairly good to me as I think in the general only about 35% of reg. voters show up.

why would Paul supporters go to Obama when he is the poster child for all the government intervention and forceful charity that Paul is against. If any Ron Paul voter votes for Obama in the GE, then they were a Paul supporter because it was the hip internet thing to do, not because they followed his beliefs.

Not necessarily. I could see people who supported Paul for his stance on the war switching to Obama. Also, there's a lot of liberal-minded people who like the idea of more state rights and less government, but hate the social conservatism of the republican party and would be willing to vote Obama for social issues.

social issues like what exactly?
every social issue for Obama involves him raising taxes and throwing money at people who suck at life.

I said the only ones motivated to vote were protest voters. That doesnt mean there arent 500,000 old republicans in PA with nothing better to do in the middle of the day.
And as for where paul votes will go, I simply won't believe that libertarians will vote for either socialist/marxist democrat, even if they also won't vote for what i consider a lesser evil like mccain.

His views on Roe v Wade, gay marriage, stem-cell research, leniency on non-violent drug offense, etc.
I'm not saying I'd base my vote on a single issue, but some people do and it's not that surprising to me.
