I've got my own thinking on if/how I'll believe in god, but your god's existence is not contingent on a single religious sect being retarded.

So basically their religion is only around 300 years old and you have these kids riding around on bikes not watching tv ,drinking,jacking off or anything remotely bad ,all in the name of some guy named joe smith who invented a religion based off some obscure writings 300 years ago ........wow now their numbers are in the millions and growing

Now maybe just maybe other religions started in a similar fashion

I never said that,but its the same sort of model.I bileive in a god but he does not mess with our matters he just creates and lets nature take it course.Religion is a man made concept to keep order and set values.

Birth control is frowned upon but not a 'sin', sex before marriage requires much repentance and telling the Bishop your naughty story.
