And how LAME can a court be to give just a few months probation?

"Let's see. He hindered a counterterrorism case, may have tipped off the jihadist more than once, and checked to see if his own name was on the terror watch list. For that he gets six months probation, from a judge who clearly has no idea whatsoever of the larger issues involved in the case. Will he retain his job with the police? Is anyone concerned that he may again aid jihadists who are waging war against the United States? Is anyone with any influence asking these questions at all?..."

In Saskatoon Saskatchewan, cops developed the habit of picking up problematic Natives and dropping them out in -40 degree C temperatures outside of town. One died, one survived(which lead to an investigation).

The cops convicted of what was essentially attempted murder(not the official charge though) got 6 months.

This is in Canada, and an isolated incident, but it's no secret Police go to bat for each other and they get away with crimes many others wouldn't.

"Police are the worst."

That comes from a former cop who's whole family was involved in law enforcement.

Look at how many law enforcement and security and intelligence officers lost their jobs after 9/11 after they received reports of what was cooking. ZERO if I recall. The incompetent and corrupt are still on the job.

This plain hurtin'. I have had other officers try to "talk it out" with a wanted felon (what with them sharing a nation of origin and all.) The guy has an active warrant for his arrest . . . from our authority . . . and the guys are on the phone with him "to get his side of it." He's under arrest the minute you see him dipshits. You can't play soccer with him and have beers afterwards.
