the article isn't about his condition being the cause of his death.
it's about putting ''unfit'' soldiers in the firing line.
dead or not he shouldn't have been put in that situation in the first place, which is a reflection of the state of the us military right now.
hence the headline "more borderline soldiers are being sent to the front".... with a clause that said "sometimes tragic results" --- as shown in the article.
the headline didn't say "stupidity cause death" --- because of that were true, we would be mourning for the majority of our fellow warroomers in particular and sherdoggers in general.
the author does a good job in presenting his story.
it's your reading comprehension that fails.
