Very good posts, and I like the feedback. I guess what I'm asking is, do you all really feel that Americans truly have evolved past race? Or is that just a fairy-tale the media likes to spin right now?

Im just curious, because we've seen many times before people poll a certain way so as not to seem intolerant or insensitive, but in the privacy of a voting booth? BAM, they vote the opposite way.

I just hope that we're all not setting ourselves up in this country with all this talk of tolerance, then on election day find out a massive landslide by McCain, then you see race relations take a 200 year step back because it'll be obvious Americans still vote on skin color.
