4th of July to me is the most emotional holiday of the year. I've come, as many family's have, from a line where the dad, grand-dad, uncle, cousins etc all were drafted in to a war. Right or wrong, they did their duty without question, without complaint, and served their country. As my uncle said once I past the age of being able to be drafted: "Congratulations kid, you're the first generation of our family that will never be forced to have to go to war". That statement always stuck with me.

I am proud to say Happy Birthday, to America. I am thankful each and every day that I wake up, that I was born a citizen of such a great nation. As my immigrant wife who only became a naturalized citizen 4 short years ago said: 'Only in America can you have elections without tanks and gun-fire going off like in my home country of the Philippines. Only in America, what you make, you keep for a very small tax compared to the rape our government forces on our wages over there." Americans must never forget our cherished history. There has been more good than ill done, we do more good than ill in this world. Despite the over-emphasis on how a few of our troops And a few in our government act in isolated situations, what the U.S. spends and donates annually world-wide to help those unfortunate souls in country's ruled by the truly evil people, is what will never be headlined on CNN, MSNBC, FOX, or even drafted by the white house press. Any white house press in any administration.

I am also proud that we can have reasoned and sometimes un-reasoned opposition in this country. I don't like liberals. I hate a lot of what they say. But I will NEVER say to one, "Die" or "Go to another country".. I will, if need be, die to defend your right to say what you want, no matter how mis-guided. And my view is usually the one proven correct later anyway, so what do I care what you say or do?

And so today, I wear this shirt (yes here in Liberal Heart of NOrthern Ca) "ONE NATION UNDER GOD SINCE 1776!"..... And as yet, nobody has risen an issue of me wearing this. And to be honest if they did, I really don't give a shit!

Happy Birthday America! Happy Birthday Americans! Remember the pride of our unique heritage and never let anyone anywhere anytime convince you, that you are lesser because you are American! Our constitutions survival as the oldest in the world proves, we are truly truly blessed and will continue to be blessed throughout the ages!
