Another singular tragedy that no reasonable policy or intervention on my behalf can control. With these sorts of stories I need to step back and not get too heated or angry , realizing that these behaviors only encourage media sensationalism of random evil acts over things that will directly impact my life or society.

Which is the dangerous and hate filled reaction to these types of things, which won't fix any of the harm already done. It only serves to further diminish society into lawlessness and misbehavior.

Nah I think it would serve to rid the world of one more scumbag. Too bad its not Lousiana. I seem to recall reading that they were instituting the deaath penalty in some rape cases

Can't let the world and the laws of our country revolve around evil nonsense like this. Let him rot in a cell and be forgotten and/or be killed in prison. Going for the death penalty costs millions of dollars in expenses, which could be used instead on child and family services or to otherwise assist society.
No need to waste our energies on this fucker, even if it feels good or is our first instinct.
