Gun Laws In CA

I was on my way to work and was listening to a Sacramento Talk show.

Their discussion was about new laws becoming more lenient in CA regarding carrying and using firearms. Previous laws in CA for example, do not allow you to shoot someone who breaks into your home. The liberal California lawmaker view, is that someone crazy enough to enter your home will only be there to conduct a property crime so long as you stay out of their way.

But, now they're re-thinking because most people who break into homes actually are committing more violent crimes like Rape, Gang home invasions and assaults on the homeowner...

So I guess CA legislators are finally getting their heads out of their liberal asses and realizing..Just shoot the intruder! It is our home and we have a right to defend it!

Right?

If I'm wrong please let me know. I mean I seem to remember part of being a father is to protect your wife and children and if it's a choice between my shotgunning a meth head who breaks into my house and my innocent family.. Sorry, meth head goes. At least I contribute to solving the drug problem by wasting someone who's already wasting themself!

CA's draconian gun laws are a joke. There are actually neighborhoods in LA where the police won't even go because they are outmatched from an arms standpoint. So much for gun laws in that area.

That's the funny thing about gun laws. The guys breaking the gun laws are already breaking the law. Passing more laws will not accomplish anything.

basically, people just have to accept that if you live in a free society, there will always be wacko's who do stupid shit and abuse that freedom

i actually think that gun laws sort of promote this, who would go shoot up their workplace if
everyone there was packing? At the very least they could defend themselves.

the state is the largerst murderer in the history of mankind, do people really think them having a monopoly on violence and weapons is the answer?

Good post. My shooting range has been around for 35 years and there isn't a law abiding person in there who isn't packing. Do you know how many illegal shootings there have been in 35 years? NONE!

Gun laws are as bad as drug laws. They don't work and in most cases it's the innocent citizens who are suffering from them and not actual the criminals.

Do you guys spend a lot of time worrying about someone breaking into your house and taking your TV or boning your old lady? I guess I could understand if you lived in a really bad crime ridden area or something; but aren’t the chances really, really small something like this could happen to you?

You guys and your frigging guns. Do you kiss them goodnight everyday and thank them for protecting you before you slip them under your pillow?
