Ironically, it is usually this same bunch that love to make money through big business and laud their financially savvy.
Gore is a douche, but he championed an effort, became an icon in the industry, and his reputation helped projects get publicity and legitimacy. Now the people who can't get in on this action want to cry about it like they wouldn't do the same, nor haven't in the past.
You folks seem to not understand that venture capital firms exist because they can get things done, and make money off VENTURES by using CAPITAL.
I'm more concerned with whether or not the technology is sound and the decision to give grants made sense in the first place.

Lobbying and capitalism become so innocent when Al Gore gets involved.
He recently got the government to loan more than $500m to build make $90g hybrid sportscars in Finland. Why aren't venture capitalists funding this entirely? and why are we creating green jobs in other countries?

I'm sure people would be angry if cheney instigated a war then became CEO again. People were pissing in their pants because cheney had stock options in haliburton, making few hundred K off of it.

Do you believe the Earth goes through temperature cycles? Also, the temperatures on Mars are rising as well, does this mean that Humans are to blame for that?
I am all for protecting the environment and maintaining a healthy Earth, however most 'Global Warming Activists' are the same as 'Terroist Fear Mongers' just on the other side of the spectrum; Ignorant, bought into all the hype and curse everyone that does not agree with their beliefs.
About Al Gore and other Bureaucrats, they do not give two shits about anyone that cannot help them in some way shape or form.

This betrays a distinct lack of understanding in regards to the evidence that is available. Yes the Earth goes through temperature cycles; no that doesn't explain what is going on right now. The current trends we're observing fall well outside of what would be expected based solely on cycles (which, if I recall, would actually have us entering a period of cooling which isn't happening).
It is funny, there is an abundance of evidence about this topic but the same old nonsense keeps getting circulated and picked up. The relationship between CO2 and increased temperatures is a fundamental aspect of climate science that has zero argument against it. We've known about the warming effects of CO2 for well over 100 years. We've also known for quite some time that human activities are causing a massive increase in atmospheric CO2. That relationship is actually quite simple.

Consider it Gore's revenge for stealing an election from him.
Just think guys, if 8,000 black voters in Florida wouldn't have been disenfranchised three weeks before the election, due to being erroneously labeled as felons, then Gore would have spent 8 years in D.C., far too busy to make movies and speeches and lobbying efforts.

Because he exposed the blatant flaws in your argument
Al Gore is a POS. Global Warming is a scam. End of story.
