So, I recently ran into someone who actually uttered and believe the above phrase. And I've been thinking about it ever since. Is there anyone who can shed some light on why they believe Global Warming doesn't exist? Or perhaps someone can explain why anyone would believe this?

either it is as dangerous and fast developing as the inconvenient truth claims, or it is a bit exaggerated

bottom line is that we need to be careful of our footprints and be wary of our environmental changes

Sure Global Warming exists the debate is how much of it is a naturally accruing weather cycle and how much man is contributing to it. So I think some people see it as nothing more then a short term weather cycle hence the theory Global Warming as per inconvenient truth does not exist.

I think some people are just so firmly entrenched in their points of view that they refuse to budge an inch because they might "lose" the debate. It's hard to know how much these people truly believe shit like this and how much of them is just a stubborn sack of shit who can't see anything beyond what their political affiliation says they should see.

Global warming is caused by increased output from the sun because of higher than usual 'sunspot' activity. It has absolutely nothing to do with the amount of CO2 that humans are pumping inthe atmosphere. Compared to natural processes (phytoplankton, trees, etc), the percentage of CO2 pumped into the atmosphere by humans is in the low single figures. The effect is negligible, at best.

The reason why global warming is so 'popular' at the moment is because many clever people are using 'global warming scare tactics' to make huge amounts of money. Al Gore is one of these people.

global warming is not a myth, just overblowen. the last study i saw said the earth's temp. has goon up 0.25 degrees F in the last 70 years.

its just a group trying to push their will on the whole population.

i believe the its just part of a cycle the earth goes thru. its been proven the earth has heated up far more than it is today and has then cooled to freezing temps. way before humans where around.
