Living in Europe for a while, I noticed alot anti-french sentiment...My bosses are Italian, born and raised, hate the French as well...
Who likes the French?...I mean they are useless, I couldn't give two shits about them...

It's not about the fighters. It's about the orgs. Since I study French(among other things) at the Uni I try to read as much French as I can, that includes the French MMA forums. Their hate towards Dana and the UFC is incredibly developped. They are still crying about the death Pride, will probably never get over it. Their rankings are beyond ridiculous, you're lucky if you see a couple of long-time UFC fighters(Franklin,Sylvia) in their top 10.
They're all the exact opposite of our TUF noobs, but this is not as nice as it sounds.
Some of them actually think that the losses of the former Pride fighters were worked bouts.
Max, could you explain to us, instead of acting French?

In France, the only way to watch dead Pride or UFC was on PPV (rarely) or by buying DVDs. Alot of french think that the UFC only think about money. Maybe that subconsciouly, we thought that the yanks wanted to milk the sport on their own when Pride was bought off. Besides you need to understand that the way Dana treats some of his fighters couldn't possible here, he would get his head chopped off. Also, Alot of people were partial to Prides because of the stylish Intros and great music theme. The american hard-rock stuff proposed by the UFC appeal less from what I can hear.
I dont think your ranking thing is true. Personally I rate Liddell n Couture highly. Alot of french people liked tito as well when he was in his prime. Now if u wanna talk about the heyvyweits division, Josh Barnettt is the toughest yank in alot of peoples mind and hes not even in the UFC. People appreciate Mir's jujitsu talent. So they might rank russian and brazilian fighters higher but they're not biaised I d like to believe.
As for the fixed ex-pride/UFC fights. Alot of french people watch the fights online and cant fully appreciate a bout. If Wanderlei gets hurt, its less visible on youtube and people dont understand why he doesnt dare knee any longer. But its not exclusive to french viewers.

Any wonder why I'm still boycotting them? Including Grey Goose (the world's best vodka in my estimation.)

The French responded with their own take on Jazz, but that's about all.

Wtf!?!?!?! Did I just meet a fellow Jean-Luc Ponty fan on SHERDOG!?!?!?!? That just blew my fucking mind...

isnt all that "french are bad people" shit over yet????
Question:
How many of the american people bashing the french have a passport? (5%?)
How many of those that do bash and have a passport have visited France? (0.5%?)
How many of those that have visited France and STILL take time to write stupid remarks about the country on SD have a brain?
...
0%!
and thats a fact!

You guys have got your head stuck so deeply into your own asses you cant see whats going on in the rest of the world!!!
1) French people in majority ARE NOT ANTI AMERICAN.... THEY ARE ANTI BUSH....
and its not the same!
2) The French MMA fans have followed MMA on a more global scale and havent been hand fed the UFC for the past 5 years (i cant see the TUF having the same succes in France as in the US).
That is why they prefer the old Pride events where the show/entertainement was a VERY important part of the brand.
3) Say what you want but i f you were to show a Pride event and a UFC 5 years back to someone who'd never seen MMA before and asked them which SHOW they prefered ....well chances are theyd answer : Pride!
Its not about bashing american MMA ...or americans in general....

Looks like French sherdoggers or French patriots are in short supply...
If this was a thread about Israel, the Balkans, Russia or the US it would probably be pushing at least a few hundred posts by now.
Edit: Although apparently the Da Snake has enough patriotism to be the equivalent of three or four posters.
