I like French food. I don't have it as much as Italian food.

For a moderately priced meal, I will go Italian. For a fancier, pricier meal, there is not a finer dining experience than proper French cuisine.

I'll eat anything that taste good.

My preference, however, is neither French or Italian cuisine. Instead, I prefer asian/south asian cuisine.

I love Thai food, Japanese sushi, simple Chinese dishes (with very few ingredients) and an assortment of spicy Indian food.

If your interested to know how I got into such unique food preferences, just PM me. Or I can make it even more simpler for you and tell you I've dated a few asian women and they're the reason why I changed my appetite (for the better).

Rotund Grappler: I am going to be in Milan all summer, any restaurants you recommend in the city or other cities in northern italy worth exploring?

I agree with daruckus--for moderately priced, Italian blows French out of the water because it is easier and cheaper and still delicious. However, at high end, French is better. The best meal I have ever had in my was in Alsace; they had this salmon with cream sauce that was amazing, and the desserts were spectacular. The food was so delicately seasoned; who knew France could do anything so well?

That's the problem. Many cities there are Italian restaurants all over. Where do you find French restaurants in the USA. I was in Lafayette, LA 3 weeks ago, and spent 4 days there. My hosts, as I requested, took me to all the local/cajun restaurants. I liked the food, but the food of France (where I visited last year) was completely different, as expected.

I wish there were more French in the US to feed us. Here in S. Cal there are taco shops on virtually every other corner. In France I visited 2/3 of the country and didn't see a single taco shop, BUT as common as Taco shops are here in Cal PASTRY shops are that common in France. I was eating a BOX of pastries every other day and it was great.

I'm going to be in Milan on May 27, then travelling for a couple of weeks down to Florence, Assisi and Rome. I'm looking forward to trying the N. Italian food. Do you know/recommend some good places to eat in Milan?
