He would have, but there is no money in it.
He knows it's BS, but it is profitable BS.

Shh, don't bring that up, it just confuses them.
Or the other 100 or so things that the bible says that 'christians' either don't know about, pretend aren't there, or explain away with logic that a 5 year old can see through.

Yes I do. Do you?? In early times they did not know how to correctly cook certain foods to prevent disease.
Check Acts 10:10-16
"10 Peter got hungry and started thinking about lunch. While lunch was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw the skies open up. Something that looked like a huge blanket lowered by ropes at its four corners settled on the ground. 12 Every kind of animal and reptile and bird you could think of was on it. 13 Then a voice came: "Go to it, Peter--kill and eat." 14 Peter said, "Oh, no, Lord. I've never so much as tasted food that was not kosher." 15 The voice came a second time: "If God says it's okay, it's okay." 16 This happened three times, and then the blanket was pulled back up into the skies. " The Message
It's a simplified version, but there it is.

I think you missed the point (or I did.) I think Obama was saying that, if we say that the Bible should be a guide for our national public policy (as many fundamentalists do), then what parts of the Bible should be select?

As Kogan pointed out, this doesn't apply to Gentile Christians (Jewish Christians are another story.) The only remaining Levicitan restrictions against Christians are the sexual restrictions. You can eat shellfish, wear clothes of different threads (that was restricted in Leviticus) and go to Church without wearing a hat (that was a requirement in Leviticus.)

All of which are fully insane, but none the less.

I would suggest going and reading 1 corinthians 11:4-10. Cause, you are wrong, at least for half the worlds population. And that passage is also fully insane.
