The "perks" are brought to you by oil, unless you are one of those people that twinkles their noses and things just magically appear for you.

If it wasn't for war we wouldn't have all the great games and movies. People die and that will never change. Might as well get some amusement out of it.

Do you eat, sleep, and breed at wal m art?
Do you do things just because everyone else does (monkey see monkey do, follow the leader, etc.?
before making a choice between right and wrong forget everything you consider normal in your life: forget money, cars, planes, stoplights, interstate highways, condoms, ipods, school, religion, rockin roll, student loans, mountain dew, the yankees, nuclear power, gasoline, banks, child labor, sailboats, paved roads, mortgage, debt, government, welfare, medicare, and mcdonalds.
In Hermann Goering’s words:
"Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on
a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of
it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people
don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in
Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the
country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to
drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist
dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no
voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.
That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked,
and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the
country to danger. It works the same in any country."
I think it’s a sad sign for humanity that people today in the "free world" literally go to war because of the perks (I am not saying all or every).
So why do you want to be at war?
|
It's because some of us grew up in the real world and realize that true peace is only achieved by standing up to the tyranical. Some of you anti-war nuts actually believe that appeasement and peace all the time is a great thing, and that everyone can be talked to.
That's fine to think that way, but WANTING, and knowing that the tyrants of the world will just crap on you and your citizens if you don't stand up to them?
"Naivity wishing for constant peace is the surest way to encourage an aggressor" - Patton
Thats ever more true in this world where the U.N.'s last report showed over 1000 current wars active in this world from minor inter village conflicts, to ethnic cleansing, etc etc etc.
Don't give me this ultra liberal B.S. chicken crap argument that you should just stand idly by and take it.
There's a word for that and it's
COWARDICE!

No it was from the R&D the Federal goverment did back in the 60's. Trickle down technology from the military industrial complex...thats why its such a good thing. And also trickle down from all the money Regan spent in the 80's...and finally trickle down from the 6 trillion dollars Bush has blown...a cool trillion a year. Twinkle my nose!
Whatever the case War makes the world a better place.
By the way, are you a Veteran?

How well it works in Communist China. Boom boom boom goest their economy! and no national debt! In fact they run quite a surplus.
BTW both N. and South Korea have some very serious Socialists underpinnings. Maybe thats why every third car I look at was made in Korea? Or maybe they should break the unions like they did here and send everything back overseas...?....?....

Yeah, because everyone is happy there. They never have human rights violations, never demonstrations, and no one is says anything about the Olympics being there.
You really want to call what China has "Marxism."
